Why Africa, why now
Africa is one of the youngest, fastest-growing and most energy-rich regions on Earth. Demand for power is rising sharply as cities expand, industries grow and millions of households connect to the grid for the first time. At the same time, the continent has an unmatched opportunity: to leapfrog older, polluting technologies and build a modern energy system that is clean, distributed and resilient from day one.
The Africa Project is ABS Green Energy Group's coordinated answer to that opportunity. Through our six operating companies, we develop, finance, build and operate the assets that will carry Africa's energy transition.
Starting with Kenya, we provide utility-scale solar parks, rooftop and off-grid solar solutions, electric and zero emission transport, green hydrogen, and the construction expertise that ties it all together.

Where we work
Our roots are in East Africa, with active operations and a growing project pipeline across Kenya and neighbouring markets. From there we are expanding into Southern and West Africa, working alongside governments, utilities, development finance institutions and private off-takers to bring new megawatts online every year.
Whether it is a multi-hundred-megawatt solar park feeding a national grid, a mini-grid powering a rural community, a fleet of electric buses moving people through a capital city, or a green hydrogen facility supplying clean fuel to industry — the Africa Project is about delivering practical, measurable change, project by project.
